Concave win an Australian Design Award

Cobalt received an Australian Design Award for Concave's 2016 boot range during last week's gala Good Design Australia awards held in Sydney.

Many people already know of Concave and Cobalt's involvement from its early development to current level, But for those that don't; Concave is a revolutionary football boot which increases kicking performance.

The 2016 Range completely reconceives the world-first and patented technology into a dynamic, lightweight ‘element’ moulding; enlarging the striking sweet spot; and cupping convex both round/oval footballs to tangibly improve accuracy, distance and velocity compared to standard boots.

Cobalt Principal Jack Magree, who has the had most to do with this product for over 15 years of development was particulary excited that the boot's design as been finally recognised. Jack acknowledged "Concave's achievement and passion throughout the journey, especially their management and in house development teams."

This award is another step towards Concave building its presence under the shadow of giant global sportswear brands like Nike and Adidas. It continues to attract football legends & current champions to ambassador the brand. Internationally, UK's football legend Kenny Dalglish has supported the technology since its infancy. And in Australia Ron Barassi & Jake Stringer (AFL All-Australian & Western Bulldogs star forward) have promoted or worn the boots at the most elite level of Australian Rules football.
