04 January 2005

Responding to the Minister for Manufacturing & Export’s invitation to nominate organisations for induction into the 2005 Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame, AusBiotech Ltd (www.ausbiotech.org) has nominated CobaltNiche Design.

AusBiotech is Australia's Biotechnology Industry Organisation, which represents over 2,400 members, covering the human health, agricultural, medical device, environmental and industrial sectors in biotechnology.
AusBiotech is dedicated to the development, growth and prosperity of the Australian biotechnology industry, by providing initiatives to drive sustainability and growth, outreach and access to markets, and representation and support for members nationally and around the world.

The Victorian Government established the Manufacturing Hall of Fame in June 2000 to celebrate manufacturing excellence in Victoria and to showcase locally-based manufacturers whose innovative and sophisticated solutions to global manufacturing issues have made them world leaders.

The Manufacturing Hall of Fame focuses national and international attention on the depth breadth and quality of world class manufactured goods available in Victoria and from Victorian-based manufacturers. Only companies that have displayed a sustained contribution to manufacturing excellence over the past five years may be eligible for induction into the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame.

The Manufacturing Hall of Fame induction ceremony is a highlight of an annual industryevent celebrating Victorian manufacturing excellence - the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Gala Dinner which will be held during National Manufacturing Week (http://www.nmw.reedexhibitions.com.au/home.asp) and will take place at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre on 11 May 2005. This is a major event on the manufacturing calendar with up to 800 local and international guests in attendance.
